I'm the Southwest-Florida girl who wanted to leave this area as soon as I could!
I graduated from Evangelical Christian School in Fort Myers, and then the University of South Florida in 2011 with a degree in Mass Communications - Broadcast Journalism. Since graduating, I fled to New York, D.C., Atlanta, and Los Angeles to pursue my dreams of ___ (Honestly, my dream changed seventy-five times, but all were production, tv, communications-related). I was looking for fulfillment that you actually don't find in a place - you find it in your heart (That's do DEEP, right? It's true!).
Luckily, God placed a better plan on my life. Two years ago, I came right back home and accepted the Lifestyle Journalist position at Hello SWFL. In the craziest way, that lead me to become our station's Weekend Anchor/Reporter. I cannot tell you how amazing it's been to get paid to do what I love...in my hometown. I get to tell the stories of people, places and organizations that I genuinely love! Crazy awesome!
I want to tell you that when I'm not working...I'm working out, but that's not true.
If I'm not working, I'm at TJ Maxx. If for some reason you can't find me there, try Netflix, volunteering, dancing, eating pizza, squeezing in a two-day flight somewhere, or spending time with my incredibly supportive and loving family...that hails from Barbados.
I'm humbled that you wanted to get to know more about me. Shoot me an email. Let's stay in touch!
