Shari Armstrong

WFTX FOX 4

Shari Armstrong brings depth, clarity, and compassion to Southwest Florida’s most important stories. An award-winning journalist and storyteller with over a decade of experience in broadcast news, she has covered everything from major hurricanes and public safety crises to community triumphs and deeply personal human-interest stories.

At FOX 4, Shari is known for her ability to connect with viewers and explain complex issues in a way that feels real, relevant, and human. She is especially passionate about stories that amplify underrepresented voices, highlight resilience, and help people feel seen and informed.

Beyond the anchor desk, Shari is an active community advocate and host, frequently emceeing local events, moderating panels, and partnering with organizations focused on education, health, and empowerment. Her work has earned her recognition as a 40 Under 40 honoree, and she continues to use her platform to spotlight everyday people doing extraordinary things.

Proudly representing Lehigh Acres, Shari grew up in the community she now serves and is a graduate of Evangelical Christian School. Her family is from Barbados, a heritage that fuels her deep love for culture and storytelling. When she’s not working, she enjoys family, traveling, being forced to watch WWE, and pretending that her dog, Sweeney Todd, is actually a human baby (because he is).
