Police say there is no threat to the public and all parties involved have been accounted for.
One man said he heard gunshots and screaming Friday night. Chris Williams was visiting his brother, who lives just down the road. Williams said he was working on his motorcycle when he heard several shots go off.
“I stayed behind my truck for a little bit, kind of waiting to see if more bullets were going to fly,” Williams said.
Williams shared cellphone video with FOX 4 that showed multiple Fort Myers Police cruisers on the scene, with crime scene tape blocking off the road.
Williams said he heard yelling, including a man screaming ‘I don’t want to die.’ Some people got upset with officers, Williams said, as police taped off more of the area.
“From time to time you’d hear a few people hollering, you know. The cops were trying to…. tape off more and more area, so they were trying to push people back,” Williams said. "Some of them didn’t want to hear about it.”
The investigation is ongoing.
