FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A 13-year-old student at Lexington Middle School in Fort Myers is facing a charge of Written Threats to Kill after a series of text messages he sent to a girl.
The boy was arrested at school Wednesday morning after talking to investigators.
According to a Lee County Sheriff's Office report, on Wednesday, a female student notified authorities of a Snapchat conversation with the suspect from overnight, during which he claimed "Ima shoot up the school", and told the girl "Ima do ur class first".
The student was taken into custody at the school and his mother was notified of his arrest.
