Arrest made in Island Coast High School threat in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Cape Coral Police announce an arrest in an Island Coast High School threat.

The arrest comes after a parent alerted the school after viewing a threatening message on Snapchat sent to her son.

The message showed the student furnishing a gun threatening to kill the other student.

After an investigation by the Cape Coral Police Major Crimes Unit, Detectives were able to determine that the gun was a BB gun.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with a written threat to kill and was transferred to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
