ARCADIA, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Arcadia.
According to troopers, a semi-truck was stopped across both east and westbound lanes on State Road 72 near Thigpen Avenue.
Troopers said the 66-year-old driver from Lehigh Acres was standing in the eastbound lane as he was putting chains on the trailer.
FHP said another drover, coming east, hit the man and the semi.
The man died at the scene.
Troopers said the crash is still under investigation.
