PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — A 73-year-old is dead after a crash just east of Punta Gorda.
Florida Highway Patrol said a car was traveling south on Riverside Drive approaching the driveway of 6040 Riverside Drive, when the 73-year-old man attempted to cross the road and entered into the path of a pickup truck.
The man was hit and killed.
The crash is under investigation.
