UPDATE 10:50 a.m.:
The U.S. Coast Guard says they have made contact with Coleman.
The agency put out a message over VHF Channel 16 and Coleman made contact with them. Channel 16 is used for calling other stations or for distress alerting.
Coleman said he's not in distress and has no medical concerns. Coleman said he's still on his way to Marathon.

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a boater last seen leaving the Charlotte Harbor, Friday.
Tuesday night, air crews searched for 47-year-old Dave Coleman. He was aboard the Colenett, a 40-foot sailing vessel. The Coast Guard believes he was heading towards the Florida Keys.
