North Fort Myers Fire Department confirms dog killed in fire

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — The North Fort Myers Fire Department confirmed a fire killed a dog on Barbie Lane, Sunday.

They said it happened around 3:42 a.m.

The cause of the fire is still not clear, according to NFMFD. The investigation was turned over to the State Fire Marshal's Office.

Firefighters said the home is severely damaged.
