FORT MYERS, Fla. — "Precision, energy and confidence."
That's what 8-year-old Ca'Mari Bryant says it takes to be a successful dancer.
Terms she learned at Quality Life Center in Fort Myers.
That's also where she met Shacura Wade - a dancer in Disney's "The Lion King". The show currently playing at the Barbara B Mann in Fort Myers.
Her visit to "The Q" is part of The Lion King's "Get Up and Go" program. An initiative infusing cast members directly into their touring communities. Their goal is to live an actie lifestyle and develop good eating habits.
Wade lead students in choreography directly from the show.
"I know how hard it is to get the arts in our community. It's amazing to see it growing and touchign a lot of people.:
Keesha Allen is Quality Life's Performing Arts Director.
She says exposing students to successful performers, like Shacura, only motinavtes students to work harder.
“We want the kids to know that they can be anything that they put their mind to," she said.
Meanwhile, Ca'Mari summarized the class in one word.
"Grateful".
