CAPE CORAL, FL — “It’s not right.”

Tina Agostinelli’s daughter rides the bus to school at Challenger Middle School, and she says she’s worried about what’s happening on Bus #768.

“My daughter has to sit on the floor of the bus on the ride home from middle school and I don’t think that it’s safe.”

An anonymous person shared this picture with us.

We’ve blurred out students’ faces.

But parents say this picture show just what’s happening on this bus everyday during after school drop offs.

They say this picture is proof that kids on the bus are sitting in the aisle.

Taking a closer look, you can see three middle school - aged students in a seat, which could push kids into the aisle.

Agostinelli says she’s reached out to the district.

“And I know that other parents have talked and called and have been waiting for responses for as well…and there’s nothing,” she tells FOX 4.

We reached out to the Lee County School District.

They sent us this picture of students on the bus from the same day.

The district says it shows students were properly situated when the bus left the middle school.

In a statement, the district says “We only allow three middle school students per seat on buses where the first stop is a few minutes way and a large number of riders will get off quickly.”

But Agostinelli says that’s not enough.

“So you’re convinced that the accident’s gonna happen at the third stop or later? If you can convince me of that then all right…I’m good.”
