BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Out of 200 non-profits in the country, one of our very own Southwest Florida organizations is in the running for $25,000.

New Horizons of SWFL is in the running for the State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant.

They are the only non-profit in our area up for the big gift this year.

That group plans to serve over 700 students during the 2018-2019 school year at their 13 different sites.

They provide academic assistance, social skills, exposure to various experiences and career fields to children in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

If they win, they could serve even more students.

That’s where you can help.

They’re not asking for your checkbook or your credit card.

In fact, it’s as easy as a simple click of the mouse to help them win.

Here’s the link.

Select 'Florida' from the drop down menu and click on the image that says "Afterschool Tutoring and Mentoring for At-Risk Teens".
