FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The woman accused of killing a tourist on Fort Myers Beach appeared in court Wednesday.
Lois Riess had not shown up to her last two case management hearings, but her attorney has been there.
At Wednesday’s hearing, her attorney announced that depositions in Florida will begin in June, and then she will face other charges in Texas in July. Her next court date was scheduled for September 5th.
Riess is accused of killing her husband in Minnesota before coming to Fort Myers Beach and killing tourist Pamela Hutchinson in a rental condo to steal her identity. Riess, the so-called 'Fugitive Grandma', was eventually apprehended in Texas.
