FORT MYERS, FLa. — The Lee County Superintendent search is now down to two candidates, Christopher Bernier and Michael Ramirez.
Both candidates will be interviewed and considered for the position.
Randy Mahlerwein, the third semi-finalist, removed himself from consideration earlier last week.
The final two come from a pool of 41 total applicants wishing to take over from interim superintendent Ken Savage.
They will speak with school board members Monday evening. A final decision is expected in the coming weeks.
