FORT MYERS, Fla. — Today the Lee County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference along with the Fort Myers Police, FBI, and State Attorney Office where officials announced "Operation Club Blu."

This is a joint operation among the Fort Myers Police Department, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, State Attorney's Office, and the FBI to solve the 2016 mass shooting outside Club Blu in Fort Myers.

The Club Blu shooting occurred on July 25, 2016.

18-year-old Stefan Strawder and 14-year-old Sean Archilles lost their lives in the gunfire outside of the club during a teen night.

“With the combined resources and targets experienced resources, and utilizing the multi-agency approach as a team, we are able to better investigate this multi-layered case,” said State Attorney Amira Fox.

Sean Archilles' family says this task force gives them hope of finally getting justice.

“I’m glad that they are taking bigger steps to help solve this case," said D'Sean Archilles, Sean Archilles' brother. "It’s been stressful for me and my family having detectives in and out, coming and talking to us telling us they’re finding leads and then lose leads."

The renewed push to find the gunman also comes with a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

“We’re asking for your partnership if you witnessed the shooting outside Club Blu and haven’t spoken with us, or conversations with people that were there that night, we want to hear from you," said FBI Special Agent Michael McPherson.
