FORT MYERS, Fla. — It's been almost three years since a shooting at Club Blu in Fort Myers, killing 14-year-old Sean Archilles and 18-year-old Stef-an Strawder.
Sean's older brother D'Sean remembers him through their shared love of basketball.
"We did everything together… played ball, hang out with friends, we were inseparable," D'Sean said.
Today players part of the King of King's basketball program took to the court and played in honor of Sean, part of the 4th Annual All-Star Game at CityGate Ministries in Fort Myers.
"I think that it's a way to remember his brother and also say 'brother, I'm taking this as far as I can, and I'm going to continue to remember your legacy and ball out, because that's what they did together," said Matthew Richard, director of CityGate Ministries Outreach program and former basketball coach of Sean's.
D'Sean says basketball is one way he keeps his brother's memory alive and is the main reason for his motivation.
"That's what pushes me to the next level. Like in the game, you would not see me smile," D'Sean said. "You always see me with a straight face because I know I'm playing for a reason."
