FORT MYERS, Fla. -- New court records give us a better picture of the crimes Fort Myers Police Captain Jay Rodriguez is charged with, and how he was ultimately arrested.

A lot of it goes back to a video we showed you in February. It's part of a sting operation that happened 2013.

Rodriguez was working undercover, and according to court documents, he had sexual contact with a woman at a massage parlor.

These new court records say, a former FMPD co-worker, O'Neill Kerr, had this video and emailed it to the city's Human Resources director. That sparked an Internal Affairs investigation last December, and during it, the court documents say Rodriguez denied ever having sex on duty.

Rodriguez was arrested Tuesday and charged with prostitution, official misconduct and perjury.
