COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – An Immokalee graduate with the Guadalupe Program got a very special donation, thanks to a Golden Gate student.

We introduced you to Aubrey Garcia in April.  The Golden Gate High School junior sold advertising on her prom dress to raise money to help Hurricane Irma victims.

Last month, she met Barbara St. Fleur of Immokalee, who lost her laptop to the hurricane and got a brand new one for her college studies thanks to Aubrey's prom dress ads.

"It really makes you realize the people, that you are touching somebody's life," says Garcia.

"To see someone not even think about themselves but think ‘oh, there's other people in need, and I'm gonna use this dress to actually convey that’, that was very inspirational," says St. Fleur.

Barbara plans to attend Arcadia University in Pennsylvania this fall.
