NAPLES, Fla. - Golden Gate High School Junior, Aubrey Garcia, decorates her prom dress with ads from local businesses to raise money for hurricane Irma victims.

She says throughout the storm, she was heartbroken by the devastating impact it had on her community.

"I was really heartbroken when I had a friend who completely lost their house. Their parents lost their jobs and it was just a hard moment," Garcia said.

So she decided to reach out to over 200 corporations and businesses for their help. She says anyone can purchase a 4" by 4" ad for $100 or a 6" by 6" ad for $200 and all the money raised will go back to people still struggling after Irma. All of these ads will cover the bottom half of her dress for prom on April 28th.

She said, "I saw people do crazy stuff with their prom skirts and, you know, they get a lot of attention that way. But this time, I don't want to get attention for myself."

If you want to purchase an ad, you can send a .jpeg version of your logo along with your donation to 2925 Titan Way in Naples, Florida. Make the check payable to Golden Gate High School. Garcia is accepting donations until April 27th.

"Being able to succeed with this idea and to get the money to fundraise, like, I feel beautiful on the inside and I feel like I could show that on the outside," she said.
