Police said the driver was in a flat-bed truck, and stayed on scene to be cooperative with officers.
UPDATE 8:30 AM:
Police confirmed to Fox 4 the victim is a 14-year-old boy, who was not wearing a helmet at the time.
ORIGINAL REPORTING 7 AM:
Fort Myers Police are investigating after a driver crashed into a bicyclist Thursday morning.
The department confirms it happened on Palm Beach Boulveard westbound between Van Buren Street and Marsh Avenue around 7 a.m.
Sadly, the person on a bike died from their injuries in the crash.
Traffic in the area may be delayed for a while.
