The Collier County Sheriff's Office says deputies are searching for the person who shot & killed an 18-year-old at a Naples house party last Saturday.
Deputies say the owner of an Airbnb contacted the sheriff's office after viewing a house party happening at his house through surveillance video - despite advising the renters that parties were not allowed. He wanted everyone out of the house.
Upon arrival, deputies say they observed approximately 80 people inside, and ordered everyone to leave through the front door.
However, according to CCSO's report, some fled through the backyard, jumped the fence and ran towards Golden Gate Parkway.
Shortly after, deputies say everyone was removed from the house.
While outside on the second floor, deputies say they heard gunshots and saw a muzzle flash.
Upon further investigation, they found 18-year-old Deshia Arthur on the ground - bleeding, unconscious and not breathing.
Witnesses said they did not know the shooter.
A search for the suspect began and continues.

On Saturday night, you could see several squad cars and crime scene tape blocking off 64th Street SW in Naples. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said gunfire erupted around 9 o’clock Saturday night at a home that had been rented out for a house party.
The next day, Arthur’s friends and family came to create a memorial of flowers and candles, spelling out her nickname “DD” on the road with candle wax. They say Arthur was a senior at Beacon High School. Arthur’s close friend, Lorena Metelus, said she’s devastated.
“I’m going to miss you a lot. I’m going to miss you so much,” said Metelus, choking back tears.
Arthur’s cousin said she always lifted others up. While her friend Metelus said Arthur was full of love and laughter - a great friend that was always there for her.
“She was so funny. So kind. She was like actually too hilarious. If you knew her, and you loved her then you understand how much of a great person she was. She was always there, always there. Anything going on and she was calling me making sure I’m okay,” Metelus reflected.
As of Sunday night, there were a number of questions Collier County investigators still hadn’t answered, including whether they had identified a suspect, or whether anyone else could be in danger.
They also hadn’t said whether drugs or alcohol could have been involved, and whether there was any “older adult” supervision at the gathering. The home itself is unique, listed as a “round beachouse with a pool” in Naples on websites like AirBnB and Bedroomvillas.com, where it’s listed for $750 a night.
Arthurs friends and family say she didn’t deserve this and hope for justice. “I’m so sorry to her mother and her family that has to go through this, and all her friends,” said Metelus.
