According to the Florida Forest Service, the fire has burned 6.7 acres and is 95% contained.

Westbound lanes of SR 82 were closed down, near Eisenhower Blvd on Friday afternoon because of a brush fire.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported heavy smoke in the area, beginning just after 2:00 pm.
