LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — A pedestrian is dead after a crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Lee County deputies said it happened on Lee Boulevard at Hazelwood Avenue South around 6:20 a.m. Thursday morning. Troopers said the driver hit the 71-year-old man while he was crossing the street.
The crash is still under investigation.
