FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Fort Myers Fire Department said one person was hurt in an apartment fire.
It sparked at 1956 Golf View Avenue on Tuesday morning. Firefighters said they found heavy smoke coming from apartment six.
Investigators say the fire was started after a cigarette was placed inside of a plastic cup.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation. The cause is unknown at this time.
