PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said it is currently investigating a shooting where someone was killed on Abscott Street in Port Charlotte.
This is close to the old Port Charlotte Golf Club.
Charlotte County Fire and EMS said it was dispatched to Abscott Street for a cardiac arrest and unconfirmed gunshot woulds.
The patient was transported to the hospital and died at the hospital.
The Sheriff's Office said this was an isolated incident and all parties are accounted for.
The investigation is ongoing.
