CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Florida Highway Patrol wants information about a crash involving a car and bike, leaving that teenage bicyclist in critical condition.

It happened before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Florida Highway Patrol says 13-year old Dylan Rose was riding his bike on Dorchester Street near Kearney Avenue in Port Charlotte when he was hit from behind by a Chevy Cobalt.

Troopers are pressing charges against the driver, 80-year-old Joshua Salazar.
