FORT MYERS, Fla — In the first few weeks of the pandemic in Southwest Florida, state data shows more than 30,000 people lost their jobs.

Let's get some of those back.

Fox 4 is teaming up with Better Together to make sure you know about, and are ready for a virtual job fair on April 30. For a week leading up to the job fair, we will have stories about resources and tips you can use to put yourself in the best possible shape for getting a job. We call it "Back to Work Boot Camp."

We already told you how to sign up for the job fair and what to expect. Now let's see what kind of jobs are out there.

"What’s really great, is that, just like our Southwest Florida community is very diverse, we have a group of employers that is very diverse as well," Megan Rose, CEO of Bettter Together says

You can see some of those jobs here. They range from health care positions, to construction jobs, to financial jobs.

“And a lot of our employers are really flexible right now,” Rose says.

That means, if you want or need to work from home, a lot of these companies will let you do that. Rose says many of the companies are also willing to train you, if you can start working right away.

Career Source Southwest Florida is also helping out with this virtual job fair. Their website has a list of more than 200 jobs available right now. Some are part time or temporary, but most are jobs that will help you further a career or start a new one, Rose says.

She says if you're willing to be flexible and try something new, this job fair can be life-changing.

“We want to help you problem solve, get creative and figure out the best match for your family,” Rose says.
