Crews were working at the toxic sludge site in Dunbar on Wednesday.
Fox 4 reporters saw a dust screen added to the fence, which will keep dust from spreading. They are also working to remove vegetation from the site. The area must be completely cleared before the toxic lime sludge laced with arsenic can be removed.
Last month, Fort Myers City Council approved all the contracts and agreements to clear the site that was dumped on for decades.
