COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. --- A Naples woman is accused of purchasing drugs in a mall parking lot, later arrested during traffic stop.

According to Naples Police, a witness flagged down a officer outside of the food court at the Coastland Center Mall after seeing Jeni Steffan, 32, put a small plastic bag with a white substance in her purse.

Steffan was seen getting into a silver Toyota Prius leaving the malls parking lot. Deputies located a car matching the same description driving along Golden Gate Parkway.

A police K9 officer was called to the scene after Steffan and the driver of the car told officers they preferred to not have the car search. Police K9 conducted an open air sniff of the car and alerted investigators of drugs being inside.

After a quick search of the car, deputies found a black bag in the glove department with numerous syringes, black spoons with brown residue on them and small plastic bags with heroin inside. Steffan's purse also contained heroin and a suboxone pill.

Police say Steffan admitted to purchasing drugs in Coastland Center's parking lot.

She was placed under arrest and taken to Naples Jail for processing.
