LABELLE, Fla. — The city of LaBelle will have a new mayor next month.
Current Tax Collector Julie Wilkins unseated incumbent David Lyons when election ballots were counted Tuesday night.
Lyons was the city mayor starting in 2012. Before that, he was City Commissioner from 1988.
Wilkins' swearing in date is scheduled for September 9.
