FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Detectives say they have recovered the vehicle stolen in a carjacking at a busy Fort Myers intersection on Wednesday, but they are still looking for tips in the case.
It happened in the middle of the day Colonial Boulevard at Six Mile Cypress.
Police say the man ran over to the car and ordered the driver to get out. They say the suspect actually fired a shot and shattered the car window.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20's, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
The vehicle, a Honda CRV, then drove north on Interstate 75.
