Christopher Carlisle has been struggling since January with mounting bills after being hit by an uninsured driver.

Chris works aa a butcher at the Winn Dixie near his home. He says, January 5th the driver ran him over while he was going to work.

“All I remember is just lying there, just screaming and yelling in pain", he told Four In Your Corner.

Carlisle says that when he saw his foot after the accident, he thought he was going to loose it. Since then, he's had his foot covered from just below the knee to his foot. He hasn't been able to work since the incident.

Carlisle lost his bike, his only means of transportation, and his only means of supporting himself. Since the driver who hit him was uninsured, he hasn't been able to get any sort of compensation.

Fortunately for him, friends and neighbor's have done all they can to help him get back on his feet.

"I mean, within days of it happening I started hearing from people", he said.

One supporter started a GoFundMe page for Chris, to help him with his experiences while his body heals from his injuries.

Carlisle says it's this support and his faith that keep him going when things seem extremely difficult.

“It’s God at work, you know, can’t do anything without him, he runs my life.”
