LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Two Southwest Florida students are heading to the Scripps National Spelling Bee next month near Washington DC.

The bee is hosted by Scripps, which owns Fox 4.

Bharath Ram from Oak Ridge Middle School won the Collier County Spelling Bee with the word "saboteur."

You may remember that last year he made it all the way to round three at the national bee.

Sabel Liu from Cypress Lake Middle School in Lee County is also going to the national spelling bee.

The competition begins Monday, May 27 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
