Two men arrested in drug bust, both recently jailed

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — U.S. Marshals served a warrant on Joe Simmons, 26, at the 2500 block of 43rd Street SW in Lehigh Acres, for felony charges of aggravated battery on a pregnant woman, including domestic violence by strangulation. Detectives found several narcotics laying out, and also came across known drug trafficker, Leonard Pitters, who was arrested just eight days prior in Cape Coral on drug-related charges where they seized $100 in narcotics. Pitters has an extensive arrest record.

Lee deputies seize $100K in narcotics during arrest

Lee deputies assumed the investigation and obtained a search warrant for the home where 345 grams of cocaine, 225.6 grams of fentanyl, 7.4 grams of MDMA, several boxes of ammunition, extended magazines, and one large Kilo Press with boxes were seized.

Both Simmons and Pitters were arrested and charged with several felonies including Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, and Possession of paraphernalia.
