FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We have new information on a deadly crash that happened over the weekend.
We now know the names of the people who died. According to Florida Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Ann Wilson and 52-year-old Janet Wilson died in the crash.
This happened on Daniels Parkway at Brookshire Lake Boulevard, just west of Six Mile Cypress in Fort Myers around 1p.m. on Saturday.
Troopers say Ann Wilson was driving east on Daniels in A Toyota and made a left turn into the path of a westbound Ford. The Ford hit the right side of the Toyota, which pushed it off the roadway into a drainage ditch.
Both women in the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ford's driver, 53-year-old Cezary Bartnicki of Naples, was treated for serious injuries at Lee Memorial.
This crash remains under investigation.
