LEE COUNTY, Fla. — An 18 year-old man is dead after he and another driver were involved in a head-on collision.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers says the man was driving a red pickup in the westbound lane of Corkscrew Road Wednesday. The driver then entered the eastbound lane traveling in the wrong direction. The 18 year-old crashed into the front of a sedan.
The 18 year old died on the scene and troopers say a medical airplane landed to assist.
The driver in the sedan did not suffer from any injuries.
