Three-month investigation yields drugs, guns, three arrests with more to come

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Three men were arrested in a drug bust resulting from a three-month investigation targeting several individuals who were distributing crack cocaine and fentanyl throughout the Dunbar area.

The Vice Narcotics Unit (VNU), S.W.A.T. Team, U.S. Marshals Service, Group Violence Intervention Unit, and other agencies served search warrants at two Fort Myers locations on Dec.1, and detained four people.

During the search at 3519 Eastland St., law enforcement seized several pieces of suspected crack cocaine; 16 grams of white powder Marlin; a handgun; numerous rounds of ammunition; various drug paraphernalia; and two-way walkie-talkies used to facilitate drug sales.

At 3531 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., they also seized a DVR system connected to several surveillance cameras; 9 grams of suspected Fentanyl (approx. 13,000 fatal doses); 16 grams of suspected crack cocaine; 57 grams of suspected Amphetamine pills; Xanax tablets; a small amount of Methamphetamine and MDMA; synthetic spice; marijuana; drug paraphernalia; and two guns.

Three of the four people detained were arrested.

Prince Anthony Davis, 39, of Fort Myers, faces charges of Sale of Synthetic Narcotics within 1,000ft of Public Housing Complex, Possession of Synthetic Narcotics with Intent to Sell within 1,000ft of Public Housing Complex, Trafficking in Synthetic Narcotics and two counts of Owning/Renting a Structure for the Purposes of Selling Drugs.

Roosevelt Jackson, 50, of Fort Myers, is facing charges of Sale of Cocaine within 1,000ft of a School, Sale of Cocaine within 1,000 ft of Public Housing Complex, and two counts of Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Sell.

Austin Petersen Jr., 34, of Fort Myers was charged with Possession of Cocaine

The investigation is ongoing as Vice Narcotics Detectives search for four additional individuals who have pending drug charges stemming from this investigation.
