FORT MYERS, Fla. — The replica of one of the most famous ships in Spanish maritime history is in Fort Myers from San Juan de Puerto Rico.
The "Nao Santa Maria" came to America to commemorate the the original journey, by Christopher Columbus in 1492.
The ship arrived in Fort Myers Beach on Monday as part of its first port of call on the east coast tour. it'll docked in front of Nervous Nellie's and tours are available beginning Thursday, February 7th until the 17th.
The ship was built in Spain in 2017 and was launched last year.
Tickets can be purchased at the dock or online.
