Two teens are charged with stealing a Bonita Springs pizza delivery driver's car.

The incident happened in June at an apartment complex off Pullen Avenue.

According to police reports, the suspects called in a fake order.  The driver showed up and while she was knocking on the door, her car was stolen.

"Yeah, I used to work with her, I was delivering pizzas for the same outfit," said Jayc Savage, who lives in the apartment complex where the incident happened.

A similar incident almost happened to another delivery driver in Bonita Springs.

"One of our drivers went out to a house and it was one of the scam orders, where they place the order from across the street, and if our driver wasn't lucky enough to turn around when he did, his car would be stolen," said Austin Long, who works at the Dominos on Old 41.

Long says his co-workers will call back numbers on suspicious orders, but for situations like this locking the car is the best way to thwart potential thieves.

"If someone is adamant enough, and they are standing there when you get back to your car, there is nothing much you can do.  But it will stop the people who are just trying to rob and go."
