COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A teen was killed in a hit-and-run crash near Colorado Avenue and South 6th Street in Immokalee on Saturday morning.
Nelson Ordonezo was walking along Colorado Avenue around 2:40 a.m. when a car driving down the street made a turn and ran up on the sidewalk, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the car struck Ordonezo, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle pulled off down the street, police are still working to identify the driver.
