FORT MYERS, Fla. — South Fort Myers High School is starting a new Student of the Month Award sponsored by Fort Myers Infiniti.
Sophomore Allison Lagunes is the inaugural winner. She received $1,000 check this morning at Fort Myers Infiniti, at 14990 S Tamiami Trail, and also chose to support the school's TV Production Club with an additional $1,000.
To be considered for the award, students submit videos explaining why they deserve the award and $1,000 and why they support the team or club they are nominating for an additional $1,000.
The program is meant to create a positive opportunity for students who are in need and who have a vision for future success.
