FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police say one man was wounded by gunfire in Fort Myers Monday, and they are investigating the incident.
It happened in the area of Fowler Street and Winkler Avenue.
According to Fort Myers Police, one person sustained a non-life threatening leg injury. It is unknown where the shot came from.
The incident remains an active investigation.
UPDATE (2/5) -- Police say there had been reports of shots fired in the area of Metro Parkway and Winkler Avenue shortly before the incident at Winkler and Fowler.
No shots were heard at the Fowler scene, where the victim was struck by a bullet.
It is unknown if the two incidents were connected.
