Search for Porter Albert continues one year later

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fort Myers Police are hopeful that someone has information about Porter Albert, 78, who went missing a year ago.

On January 15, 2020, Porter Albert was last seen and spoken to by friends. He was also seen at, Big Lots located at 13970 North Cleveland Avenue. The video showed that showed Albert purchasing a few edible items.

On January 19, Jim Domalik, a close friend of Porter Albert, who spoke to him daily, had not spoken to or seen Porter Albert since January 15.

Domalik contacted the Fort Myers Police to report his concern; he also contacted his family, who resides out of state.

On January 21, Tiffany Zora Rachel Contestabile, 21, was found driving Porter Albert's vehicle and was stopped by the Cape Coral Police Department during the early morning hours.

Contestabile stated she was in Cape Coral attempting to locate Porter Albert. Cape Coral Police contacted the Fort Myers Police to contact Porter Albert at his residence listed on the vehicle's registration. Fort Myers Police Officers responded to Porter Albert's address and discovered it unsecure and unoccupied.

Cape Coral Police Department arrested Contestabile for a traffic violation and subsequently towed Porter Albert's vehicle. Nothing suspicious was identified within the towed vehicle.

Detective Doyle identified a friendship between Porter Albert and Tiffany Contestabile and a friendship with Tiffany's mother, Dezarae Contestabile.
Albert was officially reported missing by his family on January 21.

Detective Doyle is again reaching out to the community and surrounding area for their help in generating additional leads.
