LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Lee County School board has approved a raise for Superintendent Greg Adkins.
He'll make more than $200,000 a year. The position will cost the district more than $300,000 overall, including benefits. The new contract allows the board to fire Adkins for any reason, but he would be paid for 20 weeks of work after his firing.
This comes as the school board is asking taxpayers to approve a half penny sales tax.
