SANIBEL, Fla. -- Veterinarians at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife were able to successfully remove a cat toy from the paw of a wild raccoon.
According to CROW, the raccoon was captured in a live trap in Lehigh Acres and taken to the clinic after several months of evading traps.
The toy was cut from the animal's paw, and a small laceration was stitched up. After a quick manicure to trim overgrown nails, the raccoon recovered from sedation and was released back in Lehigh Acres the same day.
