Public can vote for new high school name from list of finalists

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Lee County School District has narrowed down potential names for the newest high school in the Gateway area, and have put them up for a public vote.

The top four names are:

-Edison High School
-Gateway High School
-Martin Luther King Jr. High School
-Gabriela Mistral High School.
You can vote for your favorite in an online survey from now through 5 p.m. on Monday, October 28th. You can only vote once.

Results will be presented at their meeting on October 31st, so a name can be picked November 5th.

The 279,865 square foot school and 55 acres campus will open in August of 2021.
