A new event is coming to Cape Coral, and organizers want you to plan ahead to be a part of it.
Cape Coral Pride and Parade will take place on April 6th and 7th in South Cape.
Pride festivals are nothing to new to Southwest Florida. Pride SWFL and other organizations have hosted the LGBTQ celebrations in parts of our area - including Naples and Fort Myers.
But the association says it's time for the Cape to have an event of its own.
“We want people to come to Cape Coral, and frequent…and see that are accepting of all walks of life", Karmen Forrester, the Director of the association told Fox 4.
The South Cape Hospitality & Entertainment Association will host the first-ever Cape Pride, and they're looking for people to join. If you're interested, you can find more information here.
