FORT MYERS, Fla – Fort Myers Police are searching for a gunman, following a shooting Wednesday morning at Babe’s Night Club.

Officers say two men were shot and transported to Lee Memorial Hospital. They are both expected to be okay.

Following shots fired at Babe’s, FMPD said a lone gunman fled in a vehicle.

The suspect ended up losing control of his car, crashing near Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue and then fled on foot.

The suspect’s car crashed into a light pole that’s currently roped off by crime scene tape near that intersection. Officers and city crews have cleared the debris and reopened the road.
