PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.— An employee at a Port Charlotte retirement center was fired after abusing a patient, deputies said.
According to the arrest report, Kenneth Summerall grabbed an elderly patient who has Alzheimer’s disease.
The report said Summerall thew the patient to the floor but the patient couldn’t remember what happened.
However, other employees said they witnessed the incident.
Summerall faces multiple charges.
Police said a man was arrested after he abused an elderly patient at a Port Charolette retirement center.
