CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police have charged a man with armed burglary and grand theft after they say he broke into a family member's house and stole multiple firearms.
46-year-old Justin Peddycoart was arrested Tuesday.
The victim says that on Monday night they came home from work to find that their home had been entered and a safe was pried open. Missing were two rifles and a handgun, a lock box containing family documents, and some cigarettes.
Investigators identified Peddycoart as a suspect and arrested him.
Police say the stolen firearms were sold to an unknown person before he was arrested.
