LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- If you have a child at home who loves animals, a Southwest Florida shelter could use their help.
The Animal Refuge Center has a Junior Ambassador program available for kids ages 10 - 15. It's an opportunity for kids to volunteer and socialize with shelter pets. They can also walk dogs, take classes, go to events to represent the shelter and more.
Our pet of the week is Mocha, a 3-year-old Siamese cat mix. She was found in Lee County but is very friendly, good with kids and curious.
On April 11, Finn, a senior Chihuahua mix, was our featured pet of the week; he was adopted on April 22.
For more information on the Junior Ambassador program and how you can adopt Mocha, go to the ARC website.
